Terms of Service

Effective July 20, 2026

Our Family Heirloom is a product of MQL Solutions LLC, an Illinois limited liability company doing business as Our Family Heirloom (“we,” “us,” “our”). By purchasing a book, using a gift link, or using this site, you agree to these terms. Questions first, always: support@ourfamilyheirloom.com.

What You Are Buying

A one-time purchase creates one personalized digital book for one family: a retelling of the biblical story with your family’s names in its dedication and afterword, delivered as a private web link and a downloadable file. The purchase includes the recitation audio in your chosen voice and up to twenty regenerations for edits. Delivery happens in minutes, by email and on screen, once you complete the family questions.

The Keepsake File Is Yours

The downloadable file belongs to you permanently. It has no lock we control, works without the internet, and does not depend on us existing. We grant you a perpetual, personal, non-commercial license to your personalized book: read it, share it within your family, print it, pass it down. You may not resell it, republish it publicly, or offer it as part of a commercial service. The underlying story text, design, and software remain the property of MQL Solutions LLC; the family details you provided remain yours.

The Private Link

Your hosted link stays live as long as this service exists. We intend that to be a very long time, but we do not promise perpetual hosting, and the downloadable file is the permanent deliverable for exactly that reason. If we ever wind the service down, the file in your keeping is unaffected.

The Gate and Your Keys

Your book’s text is encrypted and opens with the two keys your family chose. The gate is a family privacy latch, not bank-grade security: anyone your family gives the keys to can open the book. We never store your keys and cannot recover them. If they are forgotten, your edit link can regenerate the book with new keys; a downloaded file always opens with the keys it was made with.

Edits

Your purchase includes up to twenty regenerations through your edit link, which is a soft limit against abuse rather than a meter: if your family genuinely needs more, write to us. Editing requires re-entering your two keys, because we do not store them.

Gift Links

A gift link creates one book for one family, free to the recipient. Unused gift links expire after thirty days. When a gift is claimed, the link stops working and the recipient receives their own private edit link; the giver keeps no access to the family’s book.

Payment and Refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see your card number. Because each book is personalized to your family and delivered within minutes, all sales are final once your book has been generated. If your book cannot be generated, or something about it is wrong, write to support@ourfamilyheirloom.com and we will make it right. Prices may change; the price you pay is the one shown at checkout.

Your Responsibilities

Provide accurate family details and an email address you control, keep your edit link and gate keys safe, and enter only content you have the right to share. Names and text you provide may not contain unlawful, hateful, or infringing material. We may decline or reverse service that abuses these terms, with a refund where the book has not been delivered.

The Text of the Book

The scripture is adapted from the World English Bible, a public domain translation, in the edition you choose: Sacred Name (Yahuah, Elohiym, Yahusha) or Traditional (the LORD, God, Jesus). The narrative framing, read-aloud edition, design, and software are original works of MQL Solutions LLC.

Disclaimers and Limits

The hosted service is provided as is, without warranties of uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent Illinois law allows, our total liability for any claim arising from a purchase is limited to the amount you paid for that purchase. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.

Changes

If these terms change, the effective date above changes with them, and material changes will be noted on this page. Continued use after a change is acceptance of it.
